Hello,
I've seen a similar post with no answer, so I wanted to create a new, more detailed post.
I have a problem with the z-depth pass exported (32bit .EXR) from octane.
With Frishluft (or an other plugin), the edges are jagged.
Because this pass seems to be anti-aliased, and to use it in after effects, it should be aliased.
So, what I do know is export my z-depth pass with Advanced render, and I get a better result.
Here are a screenshot to compare the compositing in after effects:
So, Is that an octane core problem, or it can be solved by the fabulous Aoktar ?
Thank you

Thanks Terry,
I've just made the test, and it's the same, as you can see in this picture.
I thought that it Will work.

Here's a tutorial on using a position pass instead of a depth pass to achieve a better result

This is exactly what I did.
As you can see in the tutorial, he export the P.Pass from advanced render, and he has no problem in the result.
In the past, I hadn't no problem when I wanted to export the Z-pass/Position Pass from Arnold, or vray...
So If you do the test now, you will have the same result as me...
Aoktar, are you there ?

Yes lol, I'have been trying since a long time too.... I think it's crazy if there is no solution... For a top notch render we should get a proper Z/P pass
Good Idea Calus,
So I've tried with one sample and the issue is worn edges now.
It's better, but it doesn't really work
I've tried with 4 - 8 -10 -15 sample and the result isn't better.
