OctaneRender to Modo Demo errors.

I have/own standalone license of Octane 3.x installed. I installed the OctaneRender to Modo Demo and upon startup of MODO, get:

1) ERROR: Detected the demo version of the plugin but the commercial version of octane.dll.

a) So I deactivate the standalone version, close MODO, delete my modo config file and restart MODO. I get the same error.

b) Next, I try uninstalling both the stand alone AND the plugin, restarting my computer, and then reinstalling the plugin. I get the same error.

c) Last I've tried uninstalling all octane versions on my machine as before, and any folders I find on my C drive that are Octane related. I install the plugin and get the same error.

In addition to this initial error, in MODO I understandably can't activate the plugin, and get these other errors. What do I have to do to try the plugin out? What am I doing wrong? I tried looking at the plugin docs in the trouble shooting section, but didn't see anything.
