I just found an old thread in LW forum where you provided a sample scene
for some volumetric stage lights. Is it possible you adapt it to Houdini and provide
the scene file here? I have no idea how to get this kind of bright light rays in octane
without a complete foggy / muddy scene by the medium.

Attached you have a sample scene with volumetric spotlights. This kind of scenes are not easy to setup ... for example be aware about the diffuse depth or the GI clamp settings in the kernel parameters.
BTW. Working in this scene I've found a bug in the render target HDA, that will be fixed in the next build.
