Hey everyone. Just out of the blue today I started experiencing problems with Octane 3's material system. The material icons started turning all glitchy with bars of color and it started resulting in automatic render failures. I noticed it started being triggered upon using a Mix material. Shutting down and rebooting was no help. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Octane is basically unusable now and I'm right in the middle of a project with a deadline coming up. So I need a fix as soon as possible

Hi,

I've never seen that. Did you tried to open your scene in standalone? Or did you tried to edit this material in standalone? Maybe it could help to identify the source of this problem.

Just an idea...

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give it a try. I notice it's been occurring also when I load materials from the Live Database

I had the glitches, too. But I think they disappeared after saving the project.

Pls check octane log! I suppose that's a driver issue.

But it never happened in V2. When i reboot C4D it's fine for a while, but then sometimes I just click on a texture and the icon turns to these pixelated colors and I have to reboot again.

Hi L_Sprangers,
does this happen only with v2 scene opened in v3?
If yes, could you try to replace all the octane object tags?

I also had this today when using a octane image texture. I changed the float sliders and the bug occured. Later with a similar image texture, all my materials were glitched suddenly. Thank god did restarting fix the issue.
