Hello. I'm trying to use the motion vector passes to add motion blur in post but I can't figure out the way to do it.
I mostly use reel smart motion blur... any suggestion?

Oh, I think I know why It doesn't seem to work... my mesh is animated via a MDD file and I suspect that the motion vector pass can't see the deformation. (passes are black)

Do you have the deformations motion blur enabled in the render target root node options?

No, I enabled It only to test the Octane native Motion blur...Does It matter if I don't render the motion blur Inside Octane? Does It makes the motion data available to the vector motion passe?

Yes, you need to enable this option to get the deformations motion blur vector. If this option is disabled, the plugin doesn't extract the mesh motion data, so the motion vectors can't be computed.
