(For Octane build 3.0.2, LW 2015.2)

I've noticed that IPR will not update if any Octane nodes are constrained to anything in a scene. Has something changed in Octane that would cause this?

For example, This node setup will not update as the user moves the "Null" object around... the user has to scrub the timeline in order to see any changes.

I've also tried various other nodes, like plugging vector into Translate U/V, using graph editor envelope constraints instead of item info, and so on; none of it seems to work.

This is known limitation. The problem is that when you move the null object, the Layout doesn't launch a material update event, so the plugin can't know that the material must be updated.

The best workflow in this cases is enable the "Mat Upd" option in the IPR and press the "Redraw" button each time you need to see a change. The redraw feature is fast, and it will update the scene materials.

Thanks for the confirmation, I think that workflow would work best paired with openGL custom objects to allow for at least some visual representation of where the texture should be in real time.
