Animations in OcDS render again with the selected dimension values.
Over the weekend there was a forum post by bmosalt that something is off with the Animation Camera Dimension settings.
It was not quite clear if it was user error or software error. I wanted to hold off testing until OR 3.0 is officially released...
compare:
viewtopic.php?f=44&t=51808&start=290#p274741
With Build 3.0.20.22 dimension values set in the Render Settings are not used when rendering an animation.
-> The resolution and framing of the image in the animation rendering is different than in a single image rendering with the same camera.
No clue why but here is what happend:
Test Scene:
Render Setting selected Dimension: 720x405 (16:9)
Sphere Position Frame 1
Sphere Position Frame 10
What the animation preview looks like in ORIB
When checking the Windows explorer folder it became obvious that different render dimensions were used
AND
the framing is different than defined:
1024x512
Tested with
OcDS 3.0.20.22
Daz Studio Pro BETA - version 4.9.2.67

BUG OcDS - Animation rendering - always 1024x512 (solved)

Retested with
OcDS 3.0.10.19
In this older build it is working and the animation renders at the set dimension with the proper framing.
Also still working in OcDS 3.0.10.20
(The one version that still shows as OcDS 3.0.10.19 in the OcDS banner)
I did not download and test build 3.0.20.21 because I wanted to wait three more days until the official OR 3 release before starting to test again...
-> Based on the original findings by bmosalt it might be build 3.0.15.21 that introduced the error.

Another day another test scene:
Cube Y Translation
-> To narrow it down what exactly is going on I made a test with
2x3 aspect ratio with
Dimension 2000x3000
Cube Position Frame 1
Cube Position Frame 10
What the animation preview looks like in ORIB
When checking the Windows explorer folder it became obvious that different render dimensions were used
AND
the framing is different than defined:
1024x512
Based on the previous tests it seems that
For animations framing and dimension values are always 1024x512 since build 3.0.20.21

OcDS 3.0.15.21 - described error happens
OcDS 3.0.12.20 - error does not happen

It should be - yes.I'm experiencing the same issue when I use the Final Render option for normal non-animated renders, will this be fixed as well?

I've experienced the same problem. It didn't happen in Build 3.0.20.20 but that's now expired. Any chance of renewing this beta while we wait for the next build?
