Just upgraded to Octane V3 but I'm having problems with the latest MODO plugin.
I keep getting a error pop-up.
Standalone is activated and working.
Any suggestions?
thx

This is for a Win10 machine. But thought I'd post it here as the topic seemed best.
I'm having a bit of an issue with the plugin running in offline mode.
I may have done something wrong in the install as I think I may have just uninstalled the plugin not deactivated it.
However, I've just updated to v3 and uninstalled the v2.24 plugin.
Everything was working fine on the after install trial, but now the plugin doesn't seem to be working offline.
Being brief...
I set the standalone after initial install to run offline on this machine as I have some issues with Inet stability.
The standalone works fine..if I'm offline it will still bootup and work.
But the plugin seems only to work when the machine is connected to the internet.
I tried to use modo a short while ago.. and during that time my internet must have gone out. Well, when I went to render it wouldn't work... I booted up the standalone and thought well that's ok, so why doesn't the modo plugin work.
Now I haven't tested this a lot, but basically it seems that even if you have the standalone set to allow offline mode, the plugin will not honour that setting. It seems to ONLY work when connected to the internet.
I know that pre v3 release the v3 standalone and/or the v3 plugin would not work offline, but it still seems to be that case here for the v3 plugin. (admittedly still in beta...)
Any thoughts?

Oh yeah, shoulda said.. get the same messages as the above post.

It was working with v3 until I restarted MODO, then I get this. I had rendered two jobs yesterday and today. Stand alone validates fine. Latest v3.0 and latest MODO plugin.

What release of the OctaneRender for Modo plugin are you using pls?So I got it working by signing out of standalone. Restarting MODO and then in an empty scene launching a octane render. The licensing window came up and i entered my info and It worked. However I can't click on offline licensing.

Hey Paul,
Followed the instructions for deactivating V2 and activating V3 and I'm still running into the same issue.

Paul, info...
i7 3930K 32 gb ram GTX 660ti 2gb Win 10 pro with Modo 902 sp3
Plugin - OctaneRender_for_Modo901_3_0_15_106_64bit (from the dl file.)
nvidia drivers 364.72
Octane standalone - 3.00
Previously the plugin as far as I can remember would bring up the username validation screen each time it didn't see the connection. Now it doesn't do that, just the error as per the OP.
Cheers!
(I should have mentioned this is Gary B, as per the Modo octane plugin forums. I just thought it better to put this issue here than under the modo forum.)
