@Lutze : Believe me, I make efforts to be cool, but it is difficult.
For what I understood so far, even if 2.3 will contain great features, and if i'm not wrong, what will happen on my machine will probably be that I will get a popup window when launching the 2.3, saying "no internet connection found", and Octane will be locked...
So I will even not see the aforementioned new amazing features !
Am I wrong ?

I think cloud computing is the future of software wouldnt doubt it to see autodesk and the others switching to the cloud within the next few years the internet will be a necessity to use about any software in the near future the next step for the warez scene will be to hack servers to gain access to software I dont like the idea of it at all having to access the net to use something i purchased but its whats happening and not much to be done about it I will still support this software will probably upgrade to 2.0 when it comes out long as the price stays at a good level. Companies that dont that want privacy for there work are going to have to change and understand cloud computing in the future but for now it sucks because this is new and they dont understand the new direction software is taking i upgraded my dsl yesterday to the highest speed lol i do lose internet from time to time which could cause issues but its better than not having the software at all. I do think the warez scene will crack this new defense though but i think it will be like vray and take about a year so will give this software some time to mature i could be wrong but they are pretty good at what they do they have cracked whats been said impossible to crack
Radiance, do you want to make more money?Very simple...
Make a decent plugin where people can render an entire animation without having to wait more time to export the scene than to render the image,
and im sure you will get a lot more customers, cause right now most of your clients are using it for still images, since the animation process is not reliable.
I just finished an 8 minute video with at least 2 minutes rendered in octane , so i know what im talking about.
And Roubal, this is just a render, there are a lot more out there, you sound like your life will end!!! go back to mental ray, if you are using max, or whatever.
When you get another client that dont ask for this bullshit of no connection to the net, you can buy another comp and use octane again.
As for the hardware you said you only bought for octane,im sure you can use it for other softwares too, since a gpu is not used only for octane render.
You certainly can use it for a faster viewport when modelling, so dont sound like you just waste your money.
As for the money back, you guys just sound patetic, its 99 euros, not 9.000.
I agree with chesterfield. Octane (beta or not) is great software and worth of this 49/99 EUR. Mentioning about refund is not fair, especially that 2.3 is upcoming with its new great functionalities as Radiance promised.

I know that I have no other choice than waiting for the release, now.
But from here, I don't understand what I could test as I discovered that night that since I switched to Win 7 x64 my ethernet onboard card is not compatible and that there is no existing software to manage my Orange Livebox modem under Win 7x64...
It doesn't leave much hope !
