Hi,

I've downloaded the Octane compositing extension for Windows and added the 3 files per the attached screenshot into Photoshop's plugins, but I get an error after it processes a project from Octane.

I am using Photoshop Extended CS6.

All the files briefly appear as thumbnails in the layers, as they process in Photoshop, but then it reverts to just the beauty pass in the layers panel with the attached error.

There is also a "signatures" xml file in the "META-INF" folder, and a "metainfo" file and "mimetype" file included within the Octane compositing extension, but I don't know where to place those (or if I should) in Photoshop.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,
Nathan

We have just added support for installing the extension via Adobe Extension Manager CS6 so you should not need to do this anymore.

You may get the latest version of the plugin from the Beta 2 release post:

If you still keep getting any errors, please let us know.

Hi,

I posted my message below on your updated plugin thread as well, but please note that I'm still receiving errors (although making a small bit of improvement):

Thanks for the update to the Photoshop plugin.

I installed this with the extension manager for CS6 (Windows), however I still get the same error message per my screenshot before.

This time, all layers stay in place after the plugin runs, but the previous error message per my prior post still pops up.

Also, I get the same error message ("could not complete "the" command because of a program error") when I attempt to run the "Setup Octane render layers" command.

Any additional help would be most appreciated!

Thank you,
Nathan

Thank you Nathan,

Could you please share your EXR along with the compositing file you are using so we can test it here?

Thank you Nathan,

I confirm I can reproduce this on CS6 (on CC works fine in case you want to try). We'll fix it ASAP and release a new version.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
