Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone else has run into issues with some passes not being output in composite EXR files.
I just rendered out an animation sequence and I got all specified passes from Maya scene except for Relection Indirect pass which is crucial for my comp.

I'm using Maya plugin v2.24.2 -7.24
& Standalone v2.24.2

Just to add, everything works fine in Maya render view Octane pass preview.

But missing Refl Indir pass when batch rendered.

So I did a few tests.
Turned off all "beauty" passes except Reflection Indirect and hit batch render.

What came out was a pass in composite EXR title Diffuse Indirect, but this was actually the Reflection Indirect pass.
So I'm guessing, they are both getting written to EXR but reflection is being overwritten?
Maybe a bug in 2.24.2 -7.24?

I've had to resort to rendering separate EXR files per pass.
Composite multi-channel EXR just won't give me the passes I am trying to render.
It's a problem though because the files are huge by comparison.

Any news on when we can get 16bit compressed EXR files output as separate passes files?
This is a pretty important feature.
I know not everyone likes working with composite files.

Right,
there is a mistake in the default names for composite EXR channels.
Reflection Indirect channel use the same default name as the Diffuse Indirect channel.

In the meantime you can address this by not using the default name for this channel.

For now it's not possible either to batch render 16 bit exr pass in Standalone, it must be why it's missing in the plugin.

But, it may be added soon to standalone, as seen in the v3 alpha 10 topic:

the missing features are:
exr 16-bit and generate compositing project file
also compression options are not available

I see. Thanks for the info. We will add these options to the batch render script.

Thanks.
Naming the passes explicitly did the trick.
Should've thought of that sooner
