I think it was a bad idea to buy Octane!
i just have Problems with this Render Engine!
My hole PC start lagging when i render my images! (GTX 970, 8GB RAM)
All settings are low, priority in task manager low, render priority in octane low!
i need help with this. If this problem cant be fixed i must give back the programm.

Why do you think so? Is it worst renderer for your opinion?
We have two or more gpus mostly and works without any lag mostly. This depends also your scenes.
What about your scenes?
Which resolution are you rendering?
Does it happen on simple scenes?

When you bought it? Without testing with demo? There is nothing to fix. Gpu will be very busy with rendering if you have expensive scenes with highres. You can add second cheaper gpu for desktop.
Just be sure that you have "use priority" + PRIORITY_LOW.

Can i use my GTX 610 for desktop usage? or must it be a SLI card?aoktar wrote:When you bought it? Without testing with demo? There is nothing to fix. Gpu will be very busy with rendering if you have expensive scenes with highres. You can add second cheaper gpu for desktop.

but now i know it was bad to buy octane, with c4d i never had such problems
You may use i think. Connect your monitor to 610. Sorry to hear you did a personal mistake. Try to ask for a refund if you bought it in a few days. But mostly it's not possible to refund else of faulty payments, etc... Here i can't see any defective situation for product and we have a demo to try before buying. Anyway if you still wish to do that i'll advice for a refunding if it's possible. Good luck on your life!

If you have an i7 processor, that comes with integrated graphics. So for Octane, you can stick your monitor into the mobo output, and the rest of windows will work off the integrated graphics while Octane chews on the Nvidia. I have a single Titan X in my machine with this setup and couldn't be happier.
