Hey fellow Octane C4D users!

I'm trying to create a glittery foil texture similar to what's seen here:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q ... 9943608268

I've done lots of looking around and have found some (not so great) solutions to doing this in C4D's shaders using things like specular / noise. How would this be accomplished with octane?

I've tried using a mixtexture in the specular channel, using a Noise shader as the amount, with a rainbow gradient + black as the 2 textures. This seems to accomplish the "rainbow effect" to a certain extent, but it doesn't have the bright white reflection of the actual lights (as seen in the above photos). I want that to be in the center of the specular highlights when facing a light, but have that nice glittery colorful foil shimmering on each side of the highlight. Also, I can't figure out a way to "brighten up" the rainbow effect so it gleams a little more. It's quite an interesting challenge; any advice?

Thanks for any help!

Hi,
if you are talking about this:

this is the perfect situation to use the Film Width and Film Index parameters to obtain the rainbow effect ;)
Just use the noise in the Film Width pin and play with the Film Index value untill you get the desire effect. Then you can use a falloff map node in a mix material to controll the effect based on the normal position ;)
