Octane Server and Blender version fails

Hello,

I have recently obtained Octane for blender. My Blender Octane Edition file crashes instantly after I load my file. I can not edit geometry or materials, sometimes it even crashes while loading the scene. I tried it on several different scene with similar amount of faces, around 200-300 k, not that heavy, it failed in al scenes.

After several trials Octane Server failed and I had to reactivate the license inside of blender. After I enter my stand alone and plugin usernames and passwords, Microsoft give warning that Octane has stopped working. Now I can not active it inside blender at all.

Only stand alone version seems to work fine, but I didnt test it on my project scenes yet and I need it to work inside blender. I upgraded my Nvidia drivers to latest version and also Visual C++ Redistributable Packages, Is there anything I miss?

Please help me, I really want to believe I didnt spend my resources in the air on the failing program.

My system is;
Windows 7
i7 5820K
dual GTX 980 ti SLI
32 gb Ram

Hi, they are may some bugs still but have no problems with crash on server for a long time.
Make sure you have the latest version, we are on Blender 2.76, Server 9.11.
Disable SLI on your cards, this makes problems something or at least slowdown render on Octane.
If possible upload .blend that crash for you.

This is the version I see the latest in the list of Downloads. But it is blender 2.75 not 2.76. How can I upgrade to 2.76?

OK, all textures/materials are Cycles materials, Octane cant use them.
It seams you have linked objects in this .blend, therefor I cant render the file correctly.
Render is working but only with blank materials.

Yeah I did some work in cycles before getting Octane. I will adopt all materials to octane once I get it to work without crashing.

I will try tomorrow 2.76 or higher to see if the problem with server is solved and post the result,

Unfortunately version 2.76 caused same error. I tried activating license in the clean new scene of blender.

Any other ideas, maybe something about system, or drivers?

I tested it on another two computer and it works there. So this is related particularly to my PC.

I tested versions 2.76, 2.75 and 2.70 on my PC with disabled firewall and anti virus. No success, server fails.

Any other ideas what can cause Server to fail?

Hello again,

After trying numerously reinstalling latest Nvidia drivers, different plugin buildings for blender we still have no solution for this particular computer.

Support suggested installing latest Nvidia drivers which we already did and no other help recieved

It is really frustrating... Is there a way to get report of the error? Maybe it is a bug caused by system settings etc...
