Octane keeps crashing multiple times a day. Currently I'm mostly busy with materials/textures. Not sure if that is causing the crash though.
I send the error to Maxon, but they said it's Octane causing the crash.
I have included a screenshot of the error and the txt log file.
The plugin octane.dll has crashed error

Ok thanks, there is an error about Octane. But this is not enough to say somethings. If you read release topics, you'll see this requests on bug reports. I'm writing again.
1-What's your plugin version, OS, C4D version, nvidia driver?
2-How this happens?
3-What's last operations? Can you describe me some exact steps to reproduces? Is it belong to some specific scene?
4-Do you have more bugreport files?
Are you sure that's not about low free VRAM?

For this error: I was in texture mode, adjusting the scale of a cubic projected octane material containing a bitmap png texture. The errors don't seem to be specific to a certain scene as far as I can tell.aoktar wrote:3-What's last operations? Can you describe me some exact steps to reproduces? Cinema4D seems to overwrite bugreport files. So no I dont have any other bugreport files at the moment.aoktar wrote:4-Do you have more bugreport files?

Well I've got a new crash, and thus a new bugerport file for you.
This time I was undoing an material action in the diffuse channel. I made a new imagetexture octane channel. I then undid that, so it went back to a bitmap which was there before.

This still doesn't give any sense on me. Is it Windows version?
Are you sure that you just have c4dOctane-R17.cdl64 in c4doctane directory, not R16 or R15 versions?
Btw 2.25-R3 is very stable but V3-Alpha6.2 is more stable on plugin side. We don't see any crashes on daily usages.
Maybe good to give a try and check if same crashes happen?!!
Another one, maybe a good idea to send me a scene if it still happens.

Yes this is on Windows 10
I checked, I have the c4dOctane-R17.cdl64 in the directory.
Maybe a stupid question, but where an I find this V3 Alpha 6.2 version of the plugin?

Ok. Can you send me some scene which causes crashes and descriptions how to make it? I'm curious about your scene setups
