Is there a way to get Octane to see imported Alembic caches? I can see them in the viewport, but Octane doesn't seem to be able to render them. I'm using this as a way to bring C4D Mograph animated components into Maya to interact with a scene I've set up in Maya.

Hello? Has anyone tried working with Alembic and Octane for Maya?

I use Allembic cache with bifrost and work fine for me.
I've tried to work with allembic with mash plugin. In this case it works well but does not make motion blur (internal)

Are somebody know is it possible to transfer bifrost particles to render it with Octane? I know i can export mesh with alembic, but i want to render foam to with Octane. Any different ways?

Don't think it's possible, there is a tool to convert the foam cache BIF files to Krakatoa PRT files*, that's all.
But Biffrost data are acessible for renderers in Maya API so maybe we will be able to render it directly in maya with the V3 of octane plugin.

*if you really need this, actually you can reimport the PRT files in a maya particle with PARTIO, and use octane plugin to export an instancer to standalone or using OpenVDB plugin to export to standalone V3.

one more step in standalone 3 alpha 7 to render foam particles, but not there yet :
"Introduced new sphere primitive, which can be used for particles. Support for motion blur and the ability to load/save from/to Alembic is still missing."
