First: Thanks for the amazing effort that went into 3.0!
However after using it on some of our workstations we've noticed a rather nasty behaviour: When using area lights or emissive materials, convergence becomes really bad -
definitely worse than in 2.25. We found out that this can be countered by manually adjusting sampling ratios in said area lights / materials. Yet this wasn't necessary in 2.25.
Is this a known behaviour? Is this a bug in importance sampling?
Thanks & cheers,
Mo

That shouldn't be the case. Could you post an example scene? Thanks.moedeldiho wrote:First: Thanks for the amazing effort that went into 3.0!

Regarding your simulation - an issue with volume importing has just been fixed. Volumes that had an origin very far away from 0,0,0 (eg some simulations) did not have their transforms imported correctlygardeler wrote: Yay! Next week starts on monday...!
Great! Looking forward to try it out.haze wrote:Regarding your simulation - an issue with volume importing has just been fixed.
