Hi,

I followed the instructions on the motion blur tutorial, but I still get no motion blur results (or error). It just renders everything as normal and I've pushed the settings around to values that should have shown an obvious blur...still nothing.

Is there a work around?

Thanks
James

In Maya only internal MB will work in the Octane viewport.
Make sure the moving geometry is set as movable proxy (in attribute editor or spreadsheet).

Could you please share a screen-shot of your settings. I'm having trouble finding the proxy.

Thanks

Got motion blur to work with Subframe setting the shutter to 0.20 and the motion samples to 5.

Internal doesn't work for me.

Thanks

For the movable proxy mode select your shape node (of the geometry) and scroll down to extra attributes in the Attribute Editor.
There you can choose between Scatter, Global and Movable Proxy Mode.

That sucks! I have to go through every one of my objects and add that attribute??? Its an exploded view of a complicated scene. I must have 300 objects. All of them move.

That's why I suggested to use the attribute spreadsheet to change all attributes at once.

Clearly, I've got a lot to learn.
