I think smichas suggestion is really good. I started doing some of my textures this way and got really nice results after some experimenting. Just be sure that you shoot in diffuse lighting conditions with as little shadows/highlights as possible. For example on an overcast day. There are some tutorials on this, for example by Jeffrey Ian Wilson if you are interested. You can also check out surface mimic if you are looking to buy some fabric textures but they are quite costly.

I also would try togo with a 3D-Scan maybe.
Or do a procedural shader which will always look good. maybe even better then scanning.

I have used the x Tex Material Scanner and know the team that is producing it.
They offer a service of creating high quality material maps (for those who don't want to rent/buy the machine). I think it will cost around 19€ or more for a material (Not sure about the current price tag).
It is the best quality of non BTF materials that I have seen so far.
Pixplant and crazybump will also do a job but the X Tex scanner is great especially with the special seamless algorithm.
I have scanned a couple of textiles with it and the quality was top notch.
