Question about glass with thickness and making it smooth

I downloaded your scene above and it seems like there are multiple problems with your mesh.

Problem 1: "The Mesh contains 194390 orphan (unused) vertices." (Fix: in ZB go to Geometry > MeshIntegrity > Check Mesh & Fix Mesh)
Problem 2: The points are not weld, so if I divide the object, all polygons are split from each other. (Fix: in ZB go to Geometry > Modify Topology > Weld Points)

Now if you bring back the mesh in C4D, it will be smooth :D
