The idea at some point was to add the ability to add folders so it would be possible to create some kind of groups in the "My presets" similar as there are groups in the liveDB.

Example: Redspec created materials for different characters and base figures which are supposed to be saved in "My presets". It is currently impossible to group them in a logical way with one folder of materials per product.

I'd like folders in MyPresets. That would make using Redspec a lot easier.

Agree, that would be a really useful addition.

Whilst I like this suggestion - it's a convenience feature, so would be very low priority compared with HDR Light Studio and LAMH support, so I doubt it's something I could add in the near future.

Another case of could be useful but not that urgent.

- OctaneRender Preview viewports directly integrated into the DAZ Studio UI.
- having multiple OctaneRender preview viewports open at the same time
- separate "Kernelsettings" could be applied to the integrated preview viewports.
- the preview "Kernelsettings" could be adjusted in the "Draw Settings" tab of DAZ Studio.
OctaneRender main viewport with two (Iray) preview viewports active at the same time
OctaneRender main viewport with two (Iray) preview viewports active at the same time
"Draw Settings" for the preview viewports to adjust kernel quality for preview if needed
"Draw Settings" for the preview viewports to adjust kernel quality for preview if needed
Example:
The main OctaneRender viewport is used to adjust camera, focus, selecting materials with shortcuts to the NGE as before.
The additional "preview viewports" would provide information how changing some settings would affect the scene from different camera angles.

Paul, would you consider implementing the following in the future?:

1. It would be nice to have Octane keyframes appear on the DS timeline, and to add the option to 'auto-key' everytime we make a change.
2. An 'undo' function to the plug-in (or the NGE at least)?

Thanks.

This would be a highly complex change - and I doubt it's something I could implement - sorry.
2. An 'undo' function to the plug-in (or the NGE at least)?
The NGE is implemented using a third party library, which does not support 'undo', so unfortunately I don't think this would be possible - sorry.
BATCH RENDER!!!!!! UGH.
This would be complex to implement in DAZStudio, since the plugin would need to be loading scenes then rendering. A more viable solution would be to export your scene(s) to ORBX, and then use a batch render script in Octane Standalone to render and save the final images.

In Poser I can just do 50 scenes in one document by key framing each figure in each fram. Tried that in Daz and didn't work. Any ideas?

This works perfectly fine with standard scenes but goes a bit crazy when using geo-grafts.
