I just submitted my entry for "It's Art" magazine's 3D animation challenge. The video was shot in my living room in front of a green screen and all of the environments were created with Blender and rendered in Octane.
I had to rush to get it done by the deadline so it is really rough and a little goofy, but it was a good learning experience. You can check out here:

I ended up having to leave several scenes out, so I'm thinking of redoing a lot of the environments properly and adding the incomplete scenes.

it's really cool,keep it safe, keep it in the past 
some of the shots were quite CGish like on the deck of the boat, were these done in octane too ?
if so, did you use directlighting ? they look more like rendered with a scanline renderer.
The environments in the future are cool , especially the 'burning city'.

The intro animation and titanic scene were the only scenes rendered with the Blender internal renderer. I was trying to create more of a hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy style cartoon for those parts where there is an announcer explaining the time travel guide.radiance wrote:it's really cool,keep it safe, keep it in the past

Over half the backgrounds were actually created and rendered in about two days, just before the deadline. I was basically shuffling around the same assets in a few scenes and rendering them out. That was probably about 15 renders in those two days, so they feel kind of cookie-cutter. I plan on creating some new detailed environments that look better and replacing the video in a few months with better environments. I plan on taking advantage of the mesh lights also to improve the look of the interiors. Plus there are several scenes that I didn't get complete in time that I would like to finish.

Originally I was planning on using a cartoon shader for a more stylized look, but i didn't have time. I created both of those animations in just a few hours about 4 days before the deadline. I will try experimenting with rendering it in octane.
