Architectural Glass Noise

Would it be possible to allow the creation of a glass that reduced noise by setting its refraction Index to 1.0. ie make a glass that still has correct reflection but didnt need to do any calcs on refraction.?

Most people do a Glossy material trick, where you make a 1.5 Index 100% glossy material and turn the opacity down. Reflections have correct falloff for the most part but are able to be seen through.

This is what I'm talking about all the time. It seems there's no way Octane can currently render architectural glass "realistically", only with workarounds and tricks.
