Before posting a bug report, please check the following:
1. That the issue has not already been disclosed
2. That the issue is specific to this plugin, and not Octane in general (Try reproducing it in Standalone)
Bugs related to the Octane Engine itself should be posted into the Standalone Support sub-forum.


All bug reports should include the information below, along with a detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce it.
A. Operating System, including version (i.e. Win 7, OSX 10.11.2, Ubuntu 14.04, etc.)
B. Graphics Card(s) model (i.e. GTX 580 - 3GB, TITAN, etc.)
C. RAM Capacity (i.e. 6 GB)
D. Nvidia driver version (i.e. 7.50, 7.5.22)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version, if installed (i.e. 2.24.2, 2.23, etc.)
F. OctaneRender plugin version (i.e. v2.25 - 2.21)
G. Host application version, including build number if available (i.e. 3ds Max 2016 Build 18.0)
H. A detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce it (Include Screenshots or video capture), as well as an example scene if applicable.
I. Copies of the Octane Log window and Console window outputs (full text attached as a file to your post is recommended).


Please note that reports of issues inside existing threads will be ignored/removed, and reports may be closed if the reporter does not respond to subsequent queries in the thread.

Hi guys, I'm having an activation problem recently and I believe it may be a bug because no matter what I do (how many times I deactive and re-setup) I can't seem to fix it.
Even if the plugin is activated without errors and with a clean setup, it searches for connection everytime I restart C4D. If the computer is connected it starts just fine but if not; I get the error 'Unable to connect' and Octane is not working after that. I tried to deactivate from the site and remove the plugin,re-setup and activate on normal order a couple of times but I get the same error everytime when I'm not connected.

I'm not sure if this may be the issue but Octane remembers my ID and pass(and later standalone's data) everytime when I remove the plug-in and it tries to connect&activate automatically even with a fresh setup.Is there a way to remove all the data by Octane in C4D, so I may enter it manually for the both plugin and standalone? Maybe that way it will activate once and for all like the old times :)

Obviously you don't need to install/reinstall plugin, etc.. This will not help to anything i suppose. There is nothing which is related with plugin. Just check that something is changing on your hardware like network interface, etc....

Could you please try it with a 2.24.2 build?

Thank for the feedback (I've tried it with 2.24.2 too still the same problem btw)
I switched back to 2.23.2 and its working fine now.

now 2.23.2 doing the same problem! it was working fine since i last posted, but out of nowhere it started to happen again.i can't solve it and don't know what is wrong.
i'm not changing any setting or connection parameter also it was already activated and working fine without connection.
