Omg.... ok so I guess that leads us right into the next question WHERE is the GI Clamp? Since there are no results when doing a search on the Octane for rhino docs...


I hate that I love how fast Octane renders but then it all gets negated by how utterly un-user friendly the software is..

GI Clamp is available for non direct lighting methods only.

Thanks Micha, but if that is the case why is this happening under direct lighting then?

I suppose so the problem is that your HDRI has to much intensity at to small areas. I don't know why the GI clamp isn't available for direct lights too. But your last rendering looks good.

GI Clamp is a Kernel pin. If you are getting noise from the HDR image - check that you have the correct Gamma set in the Image node of the Environment Texture.
