Hi whenever I try to open OctaneRender 1.20 on my mac, I always get this message "Check with the developer to make sure OctaneRender 1.20 works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.

Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."

I'm guessing 1.20 is not compatible with OSX EL Capitan, does this mean i'll have to downgrade or is there a way to fix this?

Would really appreciate any help that is offered :)

Hi,
no problem here with OsX 10.11.1 and Octane 1.20:

What is your hw configuration?
Have you installed the CUDA drivers?

Also I have one more question, I'm planning to purchase the octane plugin for Cinema 4D soon, would the latest version of the cinema 4D plugin work with 1.20 version of the standalone. or would I need the latest version of the standalone ?

Hi,
the latest c4d plugin version is based on the latest standalone version 2.24.2, so you need to update to standalone v2 in order to use it.
For v1, the latest plugin version is 1.54.2, but is one year and half old now.
Aoktar, the developer, has made an incredible work with great improvements, full node graph editor, new realtime interaction system, new scatter system, xparticle compatibility, just to mention some ;)
