This is my understanding as well. I will confirm with the devs. I believe the delay is triggered only when an activation request from a second computer happens while there is another system registered as active with the same license ID.misi wrote:If you deactivate the license on the computer that you are not using anymore and activate the current machine only after that, you can avoid the one hour wait.
I have to wait one hour only if I got my home comp activated and accidentally run studio computer in the same time.
Otoy, please get rid of the 1 hour license re-activation

I tested it and I am very confident this is the case!
Thanks for your help in confirming this!
Thanks misi,,, for clarifying and my apologies.
It was my vault,,, because I didn't wanted open every Plugin and octane itself to deactivate on the computer.
Just went every time online at home or office and deactivated from there for easyness, because the inconvenience of openening all the programms for activating and deactivating.
Now I make every day 4 deactivations and 4 activations at the morning and the same procedure at the evening,,, it's faster then deactivating online and waiting for cooldown.
Cheers,
Can

Please when it comes to Educational licences allow the concept of borrowing. This is incredibly important for them to be able to work from home. Something like flexlm or RLM licensing already has it built in.Goldorak wrote:
We are working on new options as we get closer to launching V3, including inexpensive secondary floating licences.
Also, if streaming matters, would a system like the one we use on this website to live stream V3 demo be of use it it were built into Octane itself? It would perform better than TV. If you have Autodesk remote, our streaming tech is built into that too for P2P streaming.

We may revisit edu licensing in V3.Witwatersrand wrote:Please when it comes to Educational licences allow the concept of borrowing. This is incredibly important for them to be able to work from home. Something like flexlm or RLM licensing already has it built in.Goldorak wrote:
