Have you been able to resolve the issue described in the first post?
It seems to be exactly the same problem that we have when exporting Alembic from DAZ.

Alembic export (original texture, mesh smooth on, no bump maps, etc):

Alembic export (UV test texture):

OBJ export:
Image

We have tracked down the cause of this issue.
If you have mesh subdivision in DAZ set to anything above 0 all UV maps of that mesh are completely messed up during Alembic export / Octane import.


Also, the mesh itself is fine but triangulation in Octane is a bit different on Alembic/OBJ export/import:

Hey!

Yeah, still having the issue and I was told by OTOY Support that there really isn't a fix per se, but they are working on it. I'll have to give your advice a try and see if it works -- if so, you've really done me a great turn and I humbly thank you!

hey --where would I find the area where I can alter the mesh subdivision in DAZ
