I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:

2.24.2.53
- Added support for Rhino material Color, Transparency and Bump Texturemap amounts (ie. the percent control for the texture), which now set the relevant Octane Image power value

Thanks

Hi Paul,
I have deinstalled an old Octane4Rhino version (which used a exe installer) and now after installing the recent release 2.24.2 stable / test I can not run the plugin.
I can see and check the plugin in the settings but there is no Octane toolbar and when I use the open Octane window command I receive an error.
I have deinstalled Octane4Rhino before as said but there is also an older version of Octane4Maya and the standalone additionally installed on my machine installed.

Any solutions for get this running?
Thank you

I can not run the plugin
Does the new plugin install correctly? What does Tools->Options->Plugins->OctaneRenderForRhino->Install show for the plugin? (can you post a screenshot of the Properties panel pls).
when I use the open Octane window command I receive an error
What error do you get pls?

Also, which SR of Rhino are you using?

Thanks

Hi Paul,
thank you for the quick response even on the weekend.
I opened Rhino again and now it is working.
I don't know what caused the problem but anyway it is working now.

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:

2.24.2.54
- Added Rhino command OctaneCopyCameraToClipboard
- Fixed issue where the new "Sync Octane FOV to Rhino" setting was causing camera tilting to not sync between Rhino and Octane. If "Sync Octane FOV to Rhino" is DISABLED, you now need to set the Scale of View field rather than the Field of View node

Thanks

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:

2.24.2.55
- Fixed crash when inporting the Misc->Silver material from the LiveDb. In general, using LiveDb materials which contain Scripted Graphs (as the Silver material does) will not give satisfactory results in the plugin.

Thanks

Not a specific request; but is it possible to have scripted graph materials in plugins?

It is technically possible - and as a test I have implemented it in the Modo and Poser plugins (but I haven't seen anyone using it). It's something I will probably look to do in the Rhino plugin in the future.

Hi,

Having a login issue. I'm using a demo version of Rhino5 SR12.
Octane standalone works fine but when I try the plugin it says my account is deactivated on this machine.
When I try to activate it I get an error message that says invalid account or wrong live id password combination
Any help appreciated.

You need to authenticate with the OctaneRender for Rhino plugin userid/password, not your Octane Standalone userid/password.
