It's my neglect. This parameter should be deprecated. You can use particle engine part in Octane object tag. If some spheres don't appear assign some custom objects to object list in tag. I apply an object tag to an emitter and enable "Particle Rendering" in the tag. Shouldn't that be enough?
Octane won't let me check "Enable Particle Engine" in the options menu, neither in r16 or r17, so I figured that's not the issue?
