I'm having problems with the render freezing up when a net render GPUs drops offline. Sometimes it keeps going, sometimes it just stops rendering on that frame even though it shows it is still rendering. It's done it on two different projects now.

Probably already mentioned:
I had the render viewport opened, I opened another scene and left the viewport opened, then came back to my previous scene, and now I can't close the render viewport at all, most of the buttons are gone too. I have to shut down Max to get rid of it.

i can´t reproduce that. i just tried 4 max sessions with open Octane viewports, all of them work fine.....Phil_RA wrote:Probably already mentioned:

We are trying to render a shot for a project and just noticed that when the object has no movement, for instance when we do a "hold" on the animation Octane renders the frames black. I know we can do this in post but why would this be happening? It renders fine in the VFB, just not when you do a production render. Is this a bug or is there some check box some where that ignores non moving objects? Anyone else ever have this issue? Thanks.
More information on the bug I posted earlier - the octane viewport constantly refreshing.
Come into another situation where it happens again. I have created some box geometry with animated noise modifier on top. Then Iv'e created a paricle flow with the box as an instanced object about 50 times. When I turn on vertex motion blur for the particle event I get the same viewport frefreshing bug.
If I turn 'autoupdate movable proxy' off, it stops refreshing and fixes the bug. Equally if I turn off motion blur it fixes the problem too. Renders turn out fine, but I cannot have 'autoupdate' and 'motion blur' on in my octane viewport
