I mean look back to history of the last year then you can imagine that patience is limited somehow.
Sorry if this sounds rude , but i can not see any progress in this. I just see more promises and excuses.
I mean we are not talking about a final solution of the issue - we have requested a status about the actual progress and statement if and how the OCDS plugin will be continued.
And even this can not be delivered ?

Can you explain me why customers of the DAZ Plugin are treated as inferior ?

I'd give Goldorak some slack...

He can only say so much. Don't shoot the messenger. And Otoy isn't the only group involved in this process...

...until we hear otherwise the plugin is a third party one. So while that remains true things are complicated. For all we know there may be negotiations going on, and researching logistics and all that. They can't speak about the future until things are solidified, otherwise things would just be worse if things fell through.

I do not know what you again read between the lines :)
No one is shooting Goldorak. But he is the representive of Otoy which shows up here.
Even when his statements are for me often are contentless and short , i am as happy to see that he is showing up from time to time. Just to make this clear.

If this is actually the case, why has it not been said by someone in an official capacity?
In fact, someone representative of Otoy could, at the very least, explain what it taking so long to give us a status, other than "we're working on it".
Saying you're working on it -- for weeks/months -- with nothing to show for it, only makes you look like you're not working on it.

An official statement is not a solution to a problem. We're past solutions, because most people have given up (long ago).
We're merely asking for a STATUS. A statement of where we are. That is all.
If things are changing, that should be reflected in a statement: "things might be changing soon, and here is why __ ".
It's really pretty simple.
It is not easy to give someone slack, when they have been given slack for over a month with no real response other than "hold on, we're working on it". Exactly how long should we wait? <-- THAT would be helpful information too!

I totally agree.
I wise man once said : "The information that there is no information is already an information."

We already asked for an estimated timeschedule how it will take to give us a statement of the status. The answer was "Hopefully next week".
Now - again one week further we still do not have a simple answer not an estimated target date when they are able to hand out any informations. Nothing.
So where was the information about that delay ?
We are not talking about big things here. We are just asking at for a status and when the answer was at first we need to clarify these before then we could expect a timing.

I mean this thread itself is a clear farce to almost every new potential customer. It shows very clearly the total incompetence of Otoy to handle their third party arrangements.
When i am say Otoy i feel a bit sorry that it is almost Goldorak who is the getting als this projected on. But i still guess that no one of Otoy's high level management is involved here or have ever heard about issues here.

And when we talk about customer relationship.
Me - and i think i am not alone - are already lost customers. We are at the moment DAZ User - entry level - using a free program.
But we have potential to advance. I already started with Blender. I also took a look into C4D. Perhaps i will buy in near future.
I am pretty sure that i will NOT use these programs with octane anymore. Not after this.
Right now i feel better spending my money in future somewhere else or use it to as toiletpaper then spending a single penny again in an Otoy product.
But me and many others already have paid money to Otoy ad we still try to claim what we have already paid for.

I've actually been trying to avoid any speculation, then I do a small amount and you ask for more speculation! Won't do us any good.

But since you ask, "why haven't they said anything? Prolly cause they don't know yet :lol:

Yep, I want an update too. But I'm keep my calm on at this point. The stuff going on behind the scenes may never come to the surface. I think asking for updates is fair game, but no need to turn the only messenger away(with more questions they obviously can't answer).

I would send a message to Otoy directly.

This viewpoint of "don't upset the only good thing we have going for us" needs to cease. The perspective of "no need to turn the only messenger away" must stop. Here is why...

1. At what point has our "only messenger" actually given us a useful message? ("hold on, we're working on it" is not useful.)
2. Is it not part of his job, to give us updates, and actually talk to us with something useful to say?
3. If we worry about "turning away" the "only messenger", we begin to censor ourselves in what we say -- and valuable feedback begins to fail. From a "customer support" perspective, this is bad.

On your last point, if people should message Otoy directly, what is the point of this forum?
