Thanks Aoktar!
It's currently possible since first version. Just use camera's focus object and disable autofocus.
I say this. You?

@Aoktar: I think Justin means the Focal Depth inside the tag:
Image

So we'd need that value (Focal Depth) to be driven by the Camera Object's Focus Distance:

Image

Currently it doesn't work like that and Focal Depth in the Octane cam tag doesn't change.

It will cause deadlock, so not a good idea. If you leave Focal Depth=0, it will take the distance value from focus object. When you give any value this Tag will be active. Clear enough? Explained in manual also.

Thanks Aoktar,

So this can't work in realtime with in the LV? Having to change values or select and deselect the tag makes it less useful.

The ideal situation would be to move the camera and the focus object stay in focus as you move and also if you move the focus object it remains in focus.

Thanks for the scene, I screen capped it to show you the issue:

Focal Depth issue

Can you see how it doesn't update as I scrub the timeline?

Yes, same behaviour here. Sometimes works. I'll try to fix. But have lot of things to fix. Let's see when they will finish.
