Hello,
Somebody have any idea why matte objects are particulary visible? Is there anyway to hide them. They must to be only boolean masks and nothing more, why are they accepting shadows or something?

Hi,
the matte option is intended to be used for shadow catching of an object over a plane. Please, could you explain what are you aiming to obtain with the matte option?

Hello, bepeg4d
I'm trying to make alpha masks via matte option. Is there any alternative way to do it.
Lets say we have a clocks on a wall and a woman in front. We want to render only clocks and nothing more but overlaping woman must to cut part of it to an alpha channel.

Hi Proxell
try this.
use a Octane object tag for the two objects, one for layer ID 1 and the other for Layer ID 2, then on Octane setting go to Passes > Layer and select Enable, you can obtain what you need in two ways, move the cursor Active Layer from 1 to 2 and see the result il LV. Or select simply Invert.
You must uncheck Keep Environment on Kernel settings and check Alpha shadows and channel.
