Hi all!
We are a visualization office from Hamburg and have just switched to Octane for Modo.
Now we are thinking on how to re-texturing our existing preset library.
As we are using assets a lot of time and it is not possible, for example, to just drag the model from another scene, we like to know what would be the best way to save ready texured models as presets to import into modo.
Looking forward to your answers!
Thanks and Best Regards,
Lucas

I have been down this road before too. Couple ways you can do it.
You can either convert all of the modo textures on the fly. That works best to drag and drop between scenes then.
If you use Octane overrides for everything. You will have to go to each texture, and save it as a preset. Then bring in the model and go to each texture you saved and "Load" it in. Takes a lot of time.
More and more things are being able to convert from Modo to octane on the fly so I think that is your best option.

Hey guys,
Another thing i do here is:
isolating the elements i want to bring into a separate scene.
Then i open the scene i want to bring them in and IMPORT the other scene in. all the octane overrides are transported just fine inside a folder called imported textures.
drag them out and be happy. It's not ideal but ...
Cheers!!

No way... I can't believe I didn't know that Rafael. Thanks a lot for sharing that. This could have saved me a ton of time in the past. Works great, everything transferred perfect!! Now to get Cinema to import it textured
Thanks again man!
