Hi all,

I have a problem with my displacement map.

In my live window it looks good. I set the map to 1024x1024.

When I send it to the picture viewer suddenly the displacement looks spike and ugly. I checked the render setting, everything sames to be identical.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Yes, attached.

The problem occurs on the stones, black layers.

Thank you!

It's related with Render Method appearently. Why do you change to "Send all data"? I set this parts to avoid differences between LV and PV by default.
My advice to keep this settings as default if you don't be sure about background progress. This maybe a bug or not i'm not sure. But render methods generates different geometry structure. This could be a reason. Also see attached diagram about effect of methods.

It is an animation and I thought it can save render time if I set it to "resend only updated object".

I will set back to send all. Does it significantly raise the render time?

Did i wrote wrong? I say samethings. I advice to set it as "Resend only updated objects". It will save a lot of time in animations. It's also default option but in your scene was not like that.

No you did not, sorry. I misread it.

I set it to send all data as a last resort to solve the problem. I experienced the displacement problem before I set it to "send all".
