You could add a note at the Octane sun that sun and sun study are independent, f.ex like this "for sun study animation be sure to disabled the Rhino sun".

That is exactly what the manual already says.

I mean you could add it at the quick help note at the Octane sun option. There can be read, that the Rhino sun controls the direction.

...or people could read the manual. I thinking reading the manual is necessary for all users, otherwise I spend all my time in the forums answering questions. I don't think that is too much to ask.
