Hi amazing creative people.

Before purchase X-particles I want to know about the integration of the plug-in with Octane render. I know that you can convert any particles system into geometry, doing so any render can handle it. But, even so, I'm curious about it.

Cheers !

Atm, best to use render instances option in Generator objects of XP. There is a particle engine option but still experimental. I'm working on for 3.0 to add more and better options. Ex. direct access to particles, volumetrics, etc. We will do it better with OSL system.

sorry for asking in this topic!

Because you said, that youre working on 3.0:
3.0 will have no more triangles-limit, is this right?

Have to fight a lot with polycounts at current project.
Any rough estimation about release?

thanks

Hi there,

I'm using X particles with Octane. I have a Trail object with sweep nurbs. It's not rendering in the viewer. Is it not possible to render X particles Generators?

Thanks.

Hi Bleepurchin-

Should be no problem to render trail object with a Sweep nurbs, I do it regularly. Is this still not working for you after a restart of Octane and/or C4D?

Hey there,

I baked the sweep nurbs trail using Nitrobake in the end. The render of X-Particles seemed to be quite unstable and the first frame would usually not contain it... I'm wondering if it had anything to do with the scene size though...
