material converter - all faces turned black

hi

i just used the material converter tool and all my facaes turned black in the 3ds viewport :-/

is there anything i can do to get 'normal' colors again?

check the orientation of the polygons.

Hi,

Make sure your viewport is "Shaded". If the material is textured also make sure that in your Material Editor the map for diffuse materials is turned on with "Show shaded materials in viewport". You will need to do this for every material with textures in order for them to be visible in the viewport. (Easier for UVW Map)

You can also go to Views>Show materials in viewport as>Shaded materials with map. ( I don't know is this is needed)

If the problem persists, open your "Octane Viewport" (Right click > Open Octane Viewport) in perspective view mode to see if the textures is right, save the file and re-open it.
Check the images for example. Works for me most of the time.

same here mix materials do this all the time

Same problem here. Any fix?

None of those things above made a difference. The "Show shaded materials in viewport" is greyed out.
