Hi Guys,
Does anyone have step by step instruction from you tube video which Jose did last year.
Video is no longer available on his you tube channel.
I just got all necessary parts but I need a guide to make it work on Yosemite.
Thanks

Thanks Jose,
I've been collecting all the pieces for the last 2 weeks.
This is my next step.
I appreciate your help.

I will be able to answer your question tomorrow.KevinJ wrote:Will the process essentially be the same for a different card?
I have EVGA 980Ti 6GB, I'm in half way of the process, will try to finish it today and and let you know after I'm done.

KevinJ I've downloaded latest drivers, did everything as instructed, but fans on the Graphic Card are not working.
They do spin at the beginning, but after system is up and running they just stop.
I will have to find a solution to that.

I'm not sure whether that could be the case but some cards & PSUs have semi passive mode under certain load (up to like 65C =) So those fans not spinning might be be not because the card is not working, but because it still does not reach certain temperature to turn them on =) what is You exact model?

Hi glimpse,
I have this one
http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.as ... P4-4995-KR
I've loaded demo scene with animation and started rendering.
Card did get pretty hot at some stage and ACE fans did not move at all.
How I can measure temp. of the card through thunderbolt?

You're right, I've forced Octane little bit more with hair module and I manage to force them to move eventually.glimpse wrote:I'm not sure whether that could be the case but some cards & PSUs have semi passive mode under certain load (up to like 65C =) So those fans not spinning might be be not because the card is not working, but because it still does not reach certain temperature to turn them on =) what is You exact model?
All good working like a charm.
