Need more info. Is this the first time you have used the software? What version of Carrara? What is the error message? What hardware do you have?

Hi Sighman,

Here's an odd one for you. I was playing with hair shaders using the Octane materials and when I went to save, I thought I would save the texture internally as it would make it more portable, but when I changed from external to internal (no other settings changes), the hair rendered noticeably darker! I was not expecting that, surely it should be the same. The image is a small jpg and I am using the Random UV setting.

How are you getting on with resolving the full UV issue - not nagging, just interested in how it is going.

I have a 670mx, driver at 3.53. The previous version worked fine. I installed the standalone at 2.23. 2.17 works. Upon selecting octane render in carrara, the render window would open, but an error message would appear--just stating that there was an error. No codes or anything else.

Sorry for the non-response but I am taking A short break. I'll be back on the job in a week or so. I have a plan to get hair UV mapping working but it requires some work. I'll try to address any bug reports first. Your patience is appreciated.

Hi Sighman, that's fine - you certainly deserve it after all the hard work you have put in to get the plugin this far this quickly, you have worked miracles!

Sighman, If I recall, there was a way to load OCS or obx into the OR4C. I know you can export them from OR4C to standalone but I thought there was an option to import materials also.
We can use the save as cbr to create personal material library for carrara, but if I recall this took it a bit further

Sorry, currently the only thing you can import from an ocs is the render target settings. If there is enough interest I should be able to support importing from the standalone's local DB.
