This is a cool plugin. I've gotten everything to work earlier today, but right now the plug is telling me it can't launch Octane when I hit render. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks

Can you launch Octane manually? Have you checked the path of the Octane binary? Is there any other instance of Octane running? When you click on the render button, does anything happen? What is the command line? You see it in the console window of CINEMA 4D.

Cheers,
Marcus

Yes, I can launch it manually. Path is good. No other instances running, no. When I hit the render button it spins for a couple seconds and then says, "Could not launch Octane". That's it.

Does it happen with any scene also with new scenes? Could you send me a screenshot of the C4D console window?

Thanks,
Marcus

Hi Markus-
I think I figured out why that scene wasn't opening. I was trying to work with it from a network server. No dice. Once I put it on my local machine it worked great. Does this software not like working over a LAN?

I don't know. Will try it tonight and see what happens :)

Do you mean Octane was on the network server or C4D or the scene?

Marcus

Octane.exe is on my local C drive. I was attempting to run a C4D project off the server. The Octane project file was also on the server.
