Hi Guys,
Can somebody help me with exterior rendering?...I mean, is there any Octane+C4d tutorial wich explains this topic?..for example how to set up camera imager and multypasses?
To be more specific, I will post my work, and also work of somebody else wich is for me a goal in tearms of final quality. I'm using Ocante v.2.23.2 wich I realy like, but there is something I miss, for example there is no ISO option in camera imager and I really would like to adjust that, or is there any alternative for ISO?..please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thank you.

hi,
the ISO and F-stop parameters in the Imager Camera node were be removed some versions ago since they had the same effect of the exposition parameter, just with different scale. The F-stop parameter was correctly moved to the thin-camera node instead of the aperture parameter for controlling the DOF like in real cameras.
Btw, good start with your renderings, if you post them in the WIP section, you will surely receive some good tip from other users

Thank you fro answer bepeg4d.
I will post my question in the WIP section.
About the ISO...so whats the replacement for it?...is it exposure or gamma in camera imager tab?..if so, can you please tell me, for example what is the equialent for ISO=100 in exposure or gamma units?
You know, my main problem is that, when I try to adjust the brightnes or the overall lightning in scene with exposure or gamma etc....my image is either too dark or too blown away...I just dont know, how can I set up linear workflow in Octane.

Hi,
now you have to consider only the exposure value, the idea is to use the slider in realtime for fine tuning the general exposure
I have tried to convert the old-school-exposure lua script, provided by the team here on the forum for the Standalone, in an expresso tag: You have to use the parameters in the User Data slot. It seems to work quite well, but I'm not a programmer so I have no responsibility for any damage in your scenes

thanks for the script bepeg4d, I think this is more user friendly.
But another problem appeared, right after I run the script, the Sun expression tag, stoped working, it just doesnt react on any action I make, like time change or Latitude etc...sun stay in the same possition.
So far I try to run Cinema from desktop icon, not from the script file, alse reboot PC, but it doesnt change anything, the Sun expression tag just doesnt work at all.

Make sure the Sun expression tag is enabled. It's always "off" on my system until I hit the check-box to turn it on.mikino612 wrote:thanks for the script bepeg4d, I think this is more user friendly.

Sorry, my mistake, I forgot to enable the sun for laziness, but this can cause confusion
Anyway, as you can see, the three sliders do the same thing, only with different scales
