Q1
Can you please check the linkage in saved materials. If I save my material which have displacement into localDB it not save Displacement and leave it empty.
Same with LiveDB - by thumbnail I can see that material have Displacement but after downloading it again it is empty.

Q2
Is it possible add into Node Editor option Save Material in orbx?

Hi Valters,

Displacement don't accept any texture type except imagetexture. So saving problem is normal. It will ignore when you connect mixtexture. Also same for rendering. There is a work-around for this. See my setup.

Adding a save orbx command is not so easy from Node Editor. Alternatively you can use LiveDb window. You can drop your material to localdb and explore the saved orbx.

nothing special, just to say i have no crash with node editor since RC3. :D (win7, r15, titanx)

Very handy, fluid, very cool thing in c4d environement.. ;)

Thank you Ahmet. An issue has appeared here. Octane keeps rendering even if you close the LV window. only stop button cancels it.

Hi Ahmet,

got some problems with the latest builts R3 and R4.

When network-rendering enabled, for the last 3 or 4 samples Octane renders forever.
Only if I "quit" the deamon-slave on the Slave-PC, the renderjob gets finished.

Also I encountered some more crashes because of driver problem.
"The display driver has been restored after a failure ....."
(Have installed the latest nvidia drivers)

Not as dramatic, but I wanted to inform you about.
Maybe anyone else got same problems.

Ok thanks. I don't think there is a directly Octane issue for driver errors. Maybe a bug on drivers or a issue which appear on condition of low resources. I have no exact idea. Also i'm not sure that Otoy guys can have somethings to do.
For network problem, you should check the clients for crashes. Also RC1-2-3-4 has same codes for rendering. They should behave same, not different.
