I'm making a photo interpolation of an object. It's rendering at 3168x4752 resolution (to match the photo size), however the image gets clipped at the bottom in the Octane viewport (about 20% of the vertical size).

Everything saves out fine, so it's not really a problem, but just wanted to report it...

Interesting. The Viewport mechanic changes substantially in the Modo901 release of the plugin, so when it is available it will potentially address this issue.

I just did a simple test by adding a sphere and setting my resolution to 3168x4752

The octane viewport can only zoom out to 25%, but scroll bars appear letting me see the rest of the image. I'm seeing no clipping. Everything seems fine.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the problem though.

No, I think you got the point, but it's still clipping on my end.
I didn't forget about the scrollbar, that would've been an embarassement... :)

I'm not currently allowed to post or share the file/image (maybe in a couple of weeks). But thankfully, it's not causing any problems, saves ok.

thanks, Jan

I got it now, it has something to do with the current system display resolution. If the viewport is "full screen" (screen border to screen border vertically), then it doesn't clip (or clips just a little bit, my desktop is 1920x1080), however try making the viewport smaller vertically and you should see a black border appearing, clipping the lower part of the image (you can still scroll down, but there's nothing there).

You should be able to replicate the issue this way, I think.

Hi Jan,

I just tried a few different window sizes with a simple sphere and can't reproduce any clipping. My screen res is 1920x1200.

Maybe it requires a more complex scene?

Jan, I see you have 2x Titans. Are they in SLI and could that be the issue?
Have you tried exporting to OCS and loading into standalone. Does it happen there?

Also make sure you have the latest plugin (currently 2.23.2.69) from http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=42581

Ok, here's proof, hopefully I haven't gone mad.. I've hidden pretty much everything (since I can't show it) so scene complexity is surely not the issue here.
When I resize it downwards it gets better, but it's still far off from showing the entire image @25% zoom.

The Titans are not SLI. Gaming during office hours is, sadly, not allowed! :D

Could be 801 sp4 specific or sth... With 901 coming tomorrow, I'm gonna call it solved.. :)
