Hi

I just purchased octane render for poser so it is new to me, I am reading a lot to learn. What I want to know is if anyone know where to get HDRI for Realistic Human Skin? I will be working with character like Victoria 4, and a lot of the light I need to work with is indoors!

Kindly Janedj

it not so much that you need HDRI more that you need, SSS skin shader. there are free ones in the live database. (under skin) that you can use.

google HDRI free samples. lots out there you can download without spending anything

The below pictures are my own skin shader and my own hair shader. That will be available to buy very soon.

You can also try links from the following thread. http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=146. For true HDR maps, remember to use a Gamma of 1.

Rightclick a material node in the Material tab. https://docs.otoy.com/#44Materials

I think you have to apply the SSS shader to just an object like a cube. Then right click to export the shader. Then load V4 and right click on any body part, ie. hip, or torso. And select import and retain existing textures, which will apply the SSS to the V4 Skin.
