The Linux version of OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin, 64-bit.

The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

The first part (server) should be run on the same computer as the second one..
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address (only 127.0.0.1 at the time), login and password (your license key info) to activate the server. After the first rendering the server will remember this activation info, and you will not need to enter it again.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).

FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE
  • New 2.23.1 engine.
  • Merged with Blender 2.74.
  • Added "Cube map" mode for panoramic camera.
  • Don't use the stereo mode anymore to disable stereo in the thin-lens camera, but the stereo output setting. This makes the stereo settings of the panoramic and thin-lens cameras consistent.
  • Added option "Pixel aspect ratio" to the thin-lens camera node, which allows you to render to a non-square pixel format (like NTSC or PAL).
  • Added option "Aperture aspect ratio" to the thin-lens camera node, which allows you to stretch/squash the DOF disc.
  • Added pin "Keep upright" to the panoramic camera node. If enabled, the up-vector is kept at (0, 1, 0).
  • Added "Over-under" stereo mode.
  • Added option "Pano blackout latitude" to the panoramic camera node, which defines the minimum latitude (in spherical camera coordinates) at which the rendering is "blacked out", when stereo rendering is enabled. This is to avoid eye strain, when people try to look up or down at the poles.
  • Minor fixes and improvements.

Installation:
- Just run the installer to see its command line keys.;)

Hi JimStar,

When I try to render a panoramic and set the stereo to side-by-side it will only render 6 tiles (with cubemap selected). It should render 12 right?

Thanks,
