You could also try the Houdini Ocean Toolkit. The displacement works with octane.

I tried this looong time ago and had forgotten about it, thanks for reminding :mrgreen:
The Octane material displacement does not work but object deformation displacement does :)

I'm also going to try the Lightwave procedural texture I use normally, as I saw where Octane can use that as an image texture now! I think this is a new feature...you can use LW procedural s in Octane!

Yes it is relatively new (not brand new :)) feature and works fine, especially when you use the Mirror Tile option in Octane Texture Image. Octane generates the image map on the fly from LW procedural so that option makes the tile edges to avoid sharp steps :)
