Hi all, sorry for my english, i'm french :)

I have to put an objet on a real scene, and it works.

But, as you can see, the ground is full of "rock" so it's not a plane. I use a displacement map, and it works. BUT, the ground is catching its own shadow. I don't want it catch shadow, just receive shadow.

There's an option for that in 3ds max, but octane don't care about this :(
So... how can I do ?

Thank you :)

What exactly do you mean? I don´t see much difference between those two pictures?

You can see the ground is darker on the second picture. We see the shadow of the "relief"

Do you have alphashadows disabled, if so check this option.

Hello.
I'm not on my PC but I think this works:
Right click on the plane: disable cast shadows

Do you mean "ricght clic > Objetcs propriety > Uncheck cast shadow" ??
Because I know this option, and I konw it works with other "render software" like V-Ray, but not with Octane. Octane don't care about this option :(

Cast shadows off for the ground should work with alphashadows on. I just checked and this works for me.

2.21 for standalone and 2.04 for the plugin. I'll check if there is an update for the plugin.

EDIT : no update :(
I'll try to share the max file, if someone want to try on his PC
