OctaneRender™ 2.2 for LightWave™ BETA 3
Moderator: juanjgon
The problem is that you are mixing an old Octane.dll file with the new plugin. Please check that you have the new Octane.dll from the 2.22.1 zip file in your LW/bin folder.geo_n wrote:What's this error when I lauch lw 11.6.3?
Weird, I will check the 11.6 release on Monday. And the F9/F10 works without problems?geo_n wrote:Strange there's only octane.dat and octane.dll on plugins_x32 that I copy pasted to lw bin.
I updated nvidia drivers to latest and the error is gone.
But lw 11.6.3 32 bit still crashes when opening IPR as I said in previous post.

Yes, I need to test this problem again. The problem is that in Windows 8.1, while the Hub is enabled, I have a problem with the IPR window refresh. Are you working with 11.6 or with 2015?K_A_B wrote:Hi,
Thanks for new beta!
It works quite fine, but the flickering IPR is back again. (Using 64 bit Win 8.1)
I can fix the problem without problems if the user works without the Hub, but of course I know the the plugin should work with the Hub enabled.

Why am I not having this problem in 8.1 ? I'm feeling kind of left out.

This is the problem, we have this issue only on some systems. I know that you need to have the Windows 8.1 with all the latest updates and with the last NVidia drivers. Also I think that problem is worse in 11.6 than in 2015. Here I only can reproduce this problem on my laptop.BorisGoreta wrote:Why am I not having this problem in 8.1 ? I'm feeling kind of left out.
I am going to make more tests next week. Meanwhile I think that without the Hub enabled, the IPR works fine, but anyway I need to test also this.

But the previous latest fix you made for Win8 worked fine for my friend with Hub, Win8.1, LW2015.2 and latest NVIDIA drivers and all Windows updates. Can't you just make the same things in this version?

This is strange. I haven't changed the latest fix in this this build, but I have changed some display code to fix other issue with the 11.6 build that perhaps has a side effect with the flickering fix. I will test all again next weekatnreg wrote:But the previous latest fix you made for Win8 worked fine for my friend with Hub and Win8.1 and LW2015.2. It is a very complex issue due to how the Layout manage the display events. The Layout SDK doesn't have a command to refresh the windows when I want, the plugin sends a refresh command, but Layout execute it when it wants.
